Morning – Find peace on a cruise with views

Stop in at Larkspur Coffee House for a coffee and fresh baked bagel for the road. Next up, see the breathtaking views of Upper Waterton Lake in the best way possible – on a relaxing mini-cruise hosted by Waterton Shoreline Cruise Co. Hop aboard the MV International, built in 1927, and cruise across international waters through the park to the shared shoreline in Montana.

Mid-morning – Saddle up at Alpine Stables

After a relaxing cruise, head over to Alpine Stables for a mid-morning guided horseback tour. Explore Waterton’s scenic trails and take in the sights of the blooming wildflowers, tall grasses, and abundant wildlife.

Lunch – Comfort food at Weiners of Waterton

Fuel up after a busy morning at Weiners of Waterton, a local favourite serving up gourmet hotdogs. The menu features everything from traditional smokies with homemade sauces to a veggie-friendly falafel dog topped with hummus.

Afternoon – Bike tour through town

After filling your belly, rent a bike from Pat’s Waterton and cruise through town to check out the local shops. Make sure to stop at the famous Red Chairs – one of the five sets of Adirondack chairs scattered throughout the park. The chairs look out over the water providing an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the scenery. See how many you can include in your journey.

Dinner – Break the dinner rules at Waffleton

Break the dinner rules and enjoy ‘brinner’ (that’s breakfast for dinner) at Waffleton. The eatery serves fresh-made and fluffy Belgian waffles with a variety of toppings from fresh fruit to Nutella.

Evening – Stargazing at the Dark Sky Preserve

End the perfect day in Waterton with stargazing in the Waterton Dark Sky Preserve, now recognized as an International Dark Sky Park. The lack of light pollution in the area means you get a crystal clear view of the moon, constellations, and several planets.
